It’s more than just a bucket. One low fee covers everything you need – the container, shipping to the recycling center, recycling charges, and a certificate of recycling.

- Each UN certified container comes with a Life Latch® lid, a poly liner, tie, instructions, terms & conditions, and a pre-paid FedEx return shipping label. Tape for covering battery terminals per DOT regulations also included.

Not so much more expensive than comparable products, but people might throw the batteries away when they have to pay for recycling.

I agree that the cost is high but I did not check 'Expensive' on the pro list. The reason is because I believe the benefits out weigh the cost. These buckets are placed in a 'Recycling Center' at work. It increases the awareness to recycle and encourages people to do so. This bucket was filled within 4 months! I heard from many people that they just 'throw them out' but now that there's a receptacle, they bring them into work instead. Plus, the return shipping is FREE!
