Austin Texas Chamber of Commerce Delegation Visits Air Cycle
Air Cycle Corporation

Austin Chamber Recycling Lamps with the Bulb Eater 3Since 1877 The Austin Texas Chamber of Commerce, the community's leading resource for business growth and success, has made it their mission to provide leadership that facilitates the creation of a prosperous regional advocacy for their members.

Last week three of the Chamber's members - Natalie Betts, Larry Holt, and Rob Gandy - visited and toured Air Cycle's Lisle office! We discussed Austin's upcoming food waste disposal requirements that will ban landfill options (http://austintexas.gov/uro), and how EnviroPure Food Waste Diversion can help. In addition to learning about Air Cycle's environmental solutions, they crushed a few lamps themselves with the new Bulb Eater® 3!

Thank you Natalie, Larry, and Rob for the visit!

Facts for FAQs

Q. How does the Bulb Eater® 3 remove mercury while crushing lamps?

A. The Bulb Eater® 3 will remove virtually all airborne powder and mercury vapor while crushing a lamp (over 99%). The Bulb Eater® 3 filters the exhaust air in five stages, with a cyclone filter, a cartridge filter, two High Efficiency Particulate Arrestor (HEPA) filters, and an activated carbon filter. The first stage cyclonic filter removes about 90% of the dust and larger particles from the air. The second stage cartridge filter removes 99% of the dust and larger particles from the air. The third stage HEPA filters out the remaining small particles. The HEPA has been shown to capture at least 99.97% of powder with particle sizes of 0.3 microns or greater. The Bulb Eater® 3 filters mercury-containing vapors through a filter of activated carbon.
