The Bulb Eater®, By Land and Sea...
The Alaska Cruise Association recently donated a Bulb Eater® lamp crusher to the community of Juneau, Alaska, as a way to assist the town with safely disposing of spend fluorescent bulbs, reported the Capital City Weekly. "Bulb Eaters are aboard many of the cruise ships that visit Alaska and have proven to be a safe way to dispose of used fluorescent bulbs," said Bruce Bustamante, on behalf of the Alaska Cruise Association.
Juneau Mayor Bruce Botelho is pleased with the partnership. "This is a good example of how the cruise industry can share its cutting-edge technology with Alaskans," he said.
PS You may have noticed that I recently highlighted a Bulb Eater fundraiser hosted by the Native Village of Eyak in Cordova, Alaska. Kudos to these Alaskans for finding creative ways to use the Bulb Eater to keep our environment clean, and communities safe!
